A restaurant was having a difficult time identifying the specific
labor costs that were causing an erosion of their gross profit
margin. We discussed the various labor costs that were important
to the client and established a daily system to track those
costs. We compared those costs to client established benchmarks
and investigated variances. Now, the client generates a daily
labor report that is used to identify how well they manage
their labor costs and to implement action steps to correct
weaknesses.
A catering company was experiencing high bookkeeper and controller
turnover. During that time, the company was having problems
with clients, vendors and the IRS. Also, the owners did not
have any financial information about their business. Core
came in and stabilized the accounting function by implementing
best practices in the areas of customer billings, vendor payments,
payroll processing and financial reporting. Now, the owners
receive monthly financial reporting that identifies key financial
benchmarks.
