Mr. Knell graduated from Drexel University
in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and
Finance and started his career with Margolis & Company,
a regional public accounting firm, where he performed various
accounting and auditing functions for small and mid-sized
businesses and organizations. At Margolis, Mr. Knell focused
his career in helping businesses and organizations by making
business decisions based on financial and non financial information.
In 1996, he became Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial
Officer and minority shareholder for Current Events International,
a national technical production company. Mr. Knell developed
and orchestrated the Company’s growth plan which included
establishing two additional locations in the United States.
In 1999, Mr. Knell joined Kreischer, Miller & Co., a
regional public accounting firm, as a Manager in their newly
formed Consulting Group. Mr. Knell’s first assignment
was a long-term assignment with Luminant Worldwide.
Also in 1999, Mr. Knell joined Luminant Worldwide, as their
Finance Director for the Eastern Region where he successfully
integrated the accounting and finance functions of three founding
companies into one regional finance center. Also in 1999,
Mr. Knell was named Operations Director for the Eastern Region.
At the end of 2000, Mr. Knell joined CCG.XM as their Chief
Financial Officer for New York where he successfully transitioned
the accounting and finance functions from a “sister
company” (performed all functions on behalf of CCG.XM)
to CCGXM. This required building policies and procedures in
the areas of sales and marketing, accounting, equipment procurement,
treasury, human resources, office management, contract creation
and administration, budgets and projections, and management
reporting.
In January 2002, Mr. Knell joined Core Financial Outsourcing,
Inc. (formerly Cathy A. Wetzel and Associates) as the Managing
Director. In January 2004, Mr. Knell was named President and
became sole shareholder.
Professional and Community Activities
Mr. Knell is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA)
and the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs (PICPA).
Mr. Knell is serving a six year elected term as Warrington
Township Auditor.
Mr. Knell also performs various speaking engagements for
local, regional and national trade groups and companies on
topics ranging from accounting controls to challenges facing
entrepreneurs.
